the Heights, produced by Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey
Seller and Jill
Furman, is a new musical about three days in the life of Washington
Heights, a vibrant and tight knit community at the top of the island
of Manhattan. It's a place where the coffee from the corner bodega
is
light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries
the rhythm of three generations of music. Find out what it takes
to
make a living, what it costs to have a dream, and what it means
to be
home.

Freestyle
Love Supreme continues
its run of improvised hip-hop creations at Ars Nova and across
the globe. Performing in the Melbourne International Comedy
Festival (Australia), the International Fringe Festival (Scotland)
and the United States Comedy Festival (Aspen, CO) this show proves
that freestyle love has no boundaries.

The NEXT STAGE Reading Series is
the spine of Back House Productions. A major aspect of
BHP’s mission is to develop new work and NEXT STAGE is
our tool to reach that goal.
A series of readings of new or unpublished
work, the true focus of NEXT STAGE is the playwright. We
provide whatever the playwright needs to bring their play to its
next stage of development. Whether
a private workshop or a public reading is needed, or both, we make
our theatre and our resources available. When a play is ready
to be heard, often for the first time, we invite you.
